Q: Do I have to use Pay Pal in order to book the services I want?
A: Pay Pal is our credit card / e-check processor.  Dive only packages are eligible for credit card payment and dive/accommodation packages (hotel included) may be reserved with an e check only. There is never a charge to you for this service. You no longer have to be a Pay Pal member in order to use this service. If you prefer to fax us or call us voice to process your reservation you may contact us here OR by clicking the "Contact Us" button on any page.

Q: What if something comes up and I have to cancel my reservations?
A: You should review our cancellation policy here or click on the "Cancellation Policy" button at the bottom of any page. Also, Wet Set Water Adventures is extremely interested in making your dive trip with us, the very best possible. To that end, we have implemented our exclusive Tank Bank system. See more info at www.wetset.com/tankbank.html . You will never lose pre paid dives due to inclement weather or illness again.

Q: We would like to dive with you. Can we just pay as we go, without making reservations?
A: Of course. The day rate is the internet price (www.wetset.com/pricing.html) plus the Mexico sales tax of 10%. If you choose to use a credit card to pay for day rate diving there is an extra 6% credit card processing fee. Best value is to prepay your diving and avoid the sales tax and credit card processing fees. Non reserved dives are on a space available basis only.

Q: What other types of payment do you accept?
A: We are happy to accept U.S. dollars, pesos and travelers checks. Credit card payments for diving, processed here, incur a 6% processing fee.

Q: Do you provide transportation or a pick up/drop off service?
A: Yes, if you book your dive/accommodation packages through our on line reservation system, we are happy to pick you up and drop you off at any of our Puerto Morelos hotels. For guests, booking accommodations separately, we offer drop off service to select hotels, with a multi tank, multi day dive package. Otherwise, taxis and rental cars are very easy , readily available and inexpensive.

Q: Do you offer trip insurance?
A: Absolutely. We offer an 80% trip insurance policy that will reimburse you for up to 80% of your total dive/accommodation package price. We recommend trip insurance, especially in months during our hurricane season. (June-November.) Rates vary, but a good rule of thumb is the premium is around 10% of the package price. To request a quote for trip insurance, please send us an email and tell us what package you would like a quote for.

Q: What kind of weather can we expect for our trip?
A: At the bottom of our primary page, www.wetset.com , you will find a link to the Weather Channel. Here you can get projected forecasts up to ten days in advance of your trip. Generally, our water temp here is in the low to mid 80's F.  Bear in mind that forecasts, especially long range ones are not always terribly accurate. For a daily forecast, we invite you to email us.

Q: I have had some medical issues in the last three years. Can I still dive?
A: Please see our Medical Statement form at medstatement.html . If you must answer 'YES' to any of the questions asked, please email us for a specific answer, describing your medical condition. We will respond within 24 hours.

Q: Can I dive more often than twice a day?
A: Absolutely. Our boats leave for 2 tank dives, twice daily ( see our departure times at www.wetset.com/diving.html and night dives with a minimum of 2 divers on request. We recommend that you have a dive computer if you are going to dive more often than twice a day. We are happy to loan you a computer if you do not have one. There is no charge for this service.

Q: How much do you charge to rent scuba or snorkel gear?
A: When you book your diving/snorkeling on line, we are happy to provide you with whatever gear you may need. No charge. We have a limited availability of wet suits, so if you need one please let us know when you book.

Q: I see you offer spear fishing.  I am not sure I want to be in a boat with people with spear guns.
A: Yes, we do offer spear fishing. However, we never mix spear fishing and recreational divers in one boat. We also offer wrecks, walls, drift diving and more. We can customize your dive package so that you are diving the types of dives you want.

Q: What kind of diving should I expect?
A: We have an incredibly diverse multi reef system here. We plan dives based on the experience level, comfort level of our divers and environmental conditions, daily. We offer 32 different dive sites ranging from the very shallow and mild to very deep and wild. See more about our diving here or click the "Our Dives" or "Diving" link from any page.

Q: Do you have your own boats? What type of boats do you use for diving/snorkeling/fishing?
A: We use typical Mexican made pangas. They are 26 and 27 feet long respectively. They each have a full cover for sun protection and come equipped with depth finder, gps, radio and cell phone. They also have USCG rated life jackets in the snorkel boats. Dive boats have bcd's and extra life jackets for non diving members of the trip. Purified bottled water is available on both boats. Fresh water rinse tubs for your camera equipment is available by request. Both boats have a dry area cabinet to store your keys, wallet, etc. Walk up, side mounted  ladders make re entry into the boat a breeze.

Q: If we have inclement weather during our trip, what can we expect?
A: If the port is closed for small craft, we have two excellent very shallow dive sites within the National Park system. Alternatively, we also offer an upgrade option to take you to the cenotes for fresh water cavern diving. For other options please see our cancellation policy. We also have a Wet Set exclusive, Tank Bank to ensure that you never lose pre paid dives again.

Q: I am a large/small diver. Do you have gear to loan me?
A: Yes, we have BCD's from 3XL - XS. Wet suits may be more difficult. We have a limited number of loaner wet suits so if you have one, you  should bring it with you. A 3 mm shorty is sufficient for May-October and a 3mm full suit is recommended for our winter dives. Water temps hover around 80 -84 degrees F year round.

Q: Are night dives or night snorkeling trips available?
A: You bet. We do night dives or night snorkel trip upon request, subject to weather conditions. We need a minimum of 2 divers/snorkelers to book a night dive/snorkel. If you are planning a 7 night dive/accommodation booking through our on line system, night dive/snorkeling is free.
