Puerto Morelos is located just 20 minutes south of Cancun Mexico.
It is a sleepy Mexican fishing village, the way of life here is slow
and casual and the snorkeling and diving here is exceptional.

The people of Puerto Morelos are very warm, friendly, and outgoing.
The park in the center of town is a gathering place at day’s end.

Tourists are welcome to participate in the games, dances and other
festivities that are held.

Due to its fairly deep passage in the world’s second largest coral barrier reef,
Puerto Morelos is one of the oldest seaports in the Yucatan.

Until the 1930’s there was a small-gage railroad connecting the port to the
topical jungle where natives harvested hardwoods and chicle (chewing gum).
You can see a chicle camp and mahogany trees at the nearby botanical garden.
